In
2000, Yung
Zip Chemical
had ever cooperated
with the Union Chemical
Laboratories of Industrial
Technology Research
Institute to develop
the liquid crystalline
technology program.
In 2002, we applied
again to Department
of Industrial Technology
Ministry of Economic
Affairs R.O.C., enable
us to attend Industrial
Technology Development
Program (ITDP), with
honors to execute
a project of developing
technology of special
chemicals for STN
color liquid crystalline,
the period is from
November 2002 to April
2004.
The main portion of
the program will focus
on the technology
development of the
synthesis and formulation
of liquid crystal
monomers for low driving
voltage color LCD.
We'll cooperate with
UCL to establish the
basic technology in
terms of liquid crystal
synthesis, formulation, evaluation, panel
testing and the world-wide
famous company "ASAHI
DENKA KOGYO K.K.,"
to develop a total
solution technology
for liquid crystals
and obtain the patent
and agency about key
monomers, optical active
chiral dopant and
liquid crystal formulations.
Moreover, we will
do our best to take
advantage of the invention
outcomes to help LCD
panel maker, e.g.
CHUNGHWA PICTURE TUBES
and PICVUE ELECTRONICS,
respectively, to create
new generation liquid
crystal formulation
for low driving voltage
color LCD. The technology
would be advantageous
for our domestic companies
to acquire the manufacturing
and supplying abilities
of the material of
liquid crystal in
Taiwan to cost down
effectively the raw
materials and strengthen
the competitive ability.
Besides, it will also
provide a critical
foundation of the
material of liquid
crystal to facilitate
the development of
panel such as reflective
LCD, flexible LCD in
the future. |
