An organic photo conductor(OPC) is an insulator in the dark and becomes an conductor when it is exposed to light by generating photo induced electros and holes as charge carriers. In the laser printer, the printing process consists of charge generation, exposure, image development, transfer, fixture,erasure and residual charge removal.
